Market design

One marketplace. One creditor.

We prepare origination for the institution that holds the liquidity and the policy. We do not interpose our own book. When a loan exists, it is born on that institution’s balance sheet.

Roles

Who does what, without ambiguity.

PartyResponsibilityWhat it does not do
Applicant Requests the microcredit with consent and purpose. Does not contract the loan with Puelo Cloud.
Origination channel Captures demand, obtains consent and, after disbursement, observes payment performance. Is not the creditor. Does not replace the lender’s primary collections.
Puelo Cloud Builds the deliverable, applies the agreed eligibility rules and sends the file to the institution. Does not take balance-sheet risk. Does not set the rate. Does not approve the loan.
Bank or finance company Underwrites, disburses, is the creditor and owns the post-contract relationship. Does not delegate the final decision or regulatory reporting.

Who owns the customer

Before disbursement there is an applicant. Afterwards there is the institution’s borrower.

Once the microcredit is granted, the commercial, contractual and primary collections relationship sits directly with the lender.

What remains in the origination channel

Monitoring of payment events — performing, delinquent, prepaid — for three strict purposes: recalibrating origination quality, issuing early warning, and supporting the lender’s collection process. That is not account ownership.

Why Risk and Legal care

There is no poorly defined shared customer. There is no competition for the relationship. The marketplace does not administer a liability that is not its own.

How we work

One file, one institution, one decision.

Puelo Cloud prepares the case against the institution’s eligibility framework. We do not present a menu of loans. We do not mark up the rate.

Pre-qualification

Hard rules and the threshold the institution declared. The case advances only if it fits policy.

Underwriting

The institution receives the deliverable and answers: grant, decline, or request more information.

Convenience

Less file-building by hand. Less noise for Risk. After disbursement, the relationship stays with the institution.

The service is designed to sit with the supervisor’s rules in each market. The institution keeps the duties that belong to the creditor.

Inclusion principle

Widen eligibility with evidence. Do not relax expected loss blindly.

There are knock-outs. There is a grey band. The institution may decline an entire vintage if origination quality does not hold.
